Cow Shed Work, Yard Repairs, and Short-Notice Help

Posted July 2025 · 2 min read

Before contracting, Shaun spent years working in and around dairy sheds. Milking, yard maintenance, repairs, and the general grind of keeping a dairy operation running. It's work that gets in your bones, and it means he can step in when you need a hand.

Yard and shed repairs

Dairy sheds take a beating. Yard surfaces crack, gates and rails get bent by stock, concrete spalls, and water systems in the shed need ongoing attention. Shaun can help with all of it. Whether it's repairing a damaged yard, sorting out the shed water system, or fixing gates and rails that stock have given a hard time, he's done it before and can get it sorted without a lot of fuss.

Short-notice relief work

If your milker calls in sick, or you're short-handed during calving or mating, Shaun can step in at short notice. He knows his way around a dairy shed and doesn't need a week of training to be useful. Give him a call and if he's not out on a job, he'll come and help.

Digger and dozer work around the farm

Beyond the shed, Shaun can handle the earthworks side of farm maintenance too. Driveways that need re-metalling or re-forming, water line repairs that need trenching, site works for new buildings or sheds, and general farm infrastructure repairs. He's licensed to drive just about anything, so if you've got machinery on site that needs an operator, he can jump in and get it done.

One call for the lot

The advantage of calling Shaun is that he can cover a wide range of farm work without you needing three different contractors. Yard repair in the morning, digger work in the afternoon, and a water system check before he heads home. It keeps things simple and keeps the costs down.
